What we do
Auryx Energy acts as the coordinating party for execution oversight engagements, deploying specialists from our network of experienced engineers and project managers depending on the specific requirements of the project phase and scope. This means the right expertise is always available, whether that is a process engineer reviewing licensor documentation, a mechanical engineer assessing vendor drawings, or an inspection engineer attending a factory acceptance test.
Engineering oversight
Document review and technical challenge
Contractor and supplier documentation, including drawings, datasheets, calculations, and data books, is reviewed against the project specification and contractual requirements. Technical deviations and concession requests are assessed on their merits, not rubber-stamped. Where deviations carry risk for the client, we flag them and support the client in deciding how to respond.
Open item tracking
Technical issues, deviations, and action items are tracked systematically throughout the engineering phase. We maintain a clear picture of what is open, who owns it, and what the impact is on schedule and scope if it remains unresolved.
Inspection and testing
We review inspection and test plans against project requirements and attend factory acceptance tests (FAT) on behalf of the client where required. FAT attendance by an independent technical representative ensures the client has a credible, informed view of equipment performance before it leaves the supplier's facility.
Interface management
On projects involving multiple parties, including EPC contractors, technology licensors, and equipment suppliers, interface management is critical. We track technical and commercial interfaces, ensure information flows between parties as required, and flag gaps before they become delays or disputes.
Procurement oversight
Procurement schedule monitoring
We monitor the procurement schedule against project milestones and flag slippage on critical items early. Late deliveries on long-lead equipment are one of the most common causes of project delay, and early visibility is the only effective response.
Vendor expediting
For critical vendors and long-lead items, we maintain direct contact with suppliers to track progress, identify risks to delivery, and escalate where necessary. Expediting is most effective when it starts early, not when a delivery date has already been missed.
Purchase order and submittal review
We review purchase orders against the approved requisition and specification, and track supplier documentation submittals against the required schedule. Gaps and exceptions are identified and followed up systematically.
Open commercial issue tracking
Bid evaluation exceptions, open commercial points, and unresolved scope items that carry over from procurement into execution are tracked and managed to resolution. Left unmanaged, these become claims.
Who we represent
Auryx Energy works exclusively on the client side. Our role is to represent the interests of the project owner throughout engineering and procurement execution, providing independent assessment that is not influenced by contractor relationships, supplier preferences, or project delivery pressures.
This is broadly consistent with what the industry refers to as an Owner's Engineer function, scoped to the engineering and procurement phase and tailored to the specific needs of the project and client.
